Carta de Segis Yuriel Bocanegra Vargas.- PadrinosThomas and Ruth Steiner and Rossier

December, 2007

Ibagué (Tolima), Colombia

Thomas and Ruth Steiner and Rossier

Dear godparents,

With great love and respect I write to you and I hope that this letter finds you enjoying good health along with your loved ones.

I am Segis Yuriel Bocanegra, I am 14 years old and I study at “Institución educativa Antonio Reyes Umaña” (Antonio Reyes Umaña Educative institution) and thanks to your support, I finished eighth grade.

I live with my mother and three sisters in a very humble neighborhood called “El Bosque” she is charge of the family because my father died five years ago. To support the family, she makes arepas and other food and sells them in our community. We help her with this job.

I did pretty well on my studies, I made a great effort to be a good student and this helped me to be promoted to ninth grade next year.

I’m currently on school break and during this time I watch TV with my friends and play soccer among other activities. As to what concerns the YMCA, I participated in the dancing workshops on Saturdays and through this programs I have enriched my personal growth process.

Beloved godparents, I would be really happy to receive a letter and some pictures of you so I can see the wonderful people that are giving me the chance to build my future and to grow as a role model.

I hope that you are happy on these holidays and that you enjoy the joyfulness of Christmas. I also wish that next year brings prosperity and success to your lives.

I would like to say good bye by sending you a lot of love and appreciation,

Yours truly,

Segis Yuriel Bocanegra Vargas.
