Dear Godfather:
I greet you with all my heart and everyday, I ask God to bless you in my prayers. I hope that he watches over you and your family every second and that he protects you from any harm.
I would like to tell you that I passed eighth grade successfully and that I start ninth grade this coming year, but most importantly I think you should know that I could not have made it without your wonderful and precious help. It would have been really hard for me to finish school without it because my mother is not only going through a very bad economic situation but also, her health condition is very delicate.
Please do not take this as if I was trying to get you pity, I am just trying to show you that you help is crucial in both my life and my mother’s because with your help I am forging my future and you know that school is the most important thing in our lives. I am able to go to school thanks to your generosity and I wish that more people in the works would help and had such a generous and kind heart like yours.
I love studying and I love to become a better person everyday and this is a permanent goal in my life. It is the most important part of y life and you are part of it.
My dear godfather, I wish with all my heart that you have a merry Christmas, full of joy and happiness with your family and I also wish that the New Year brings happiness, prosperity and love and that all your wishes come true.
Always remember that sometimes we that a goal is never further than the thought but it is not closer than the distance of our hands and if we fight for it and persevere, we can achieve everything we want. This is what my mother has taught me and now, I would like to transmit this message to you. This is the basis of my life and it is the reason why I get up every morning and I make an effort so I can say I made it that thanks to God, my mother and you, my angel.
Godfather I send you tons of kisses and hugs, I hope that God blesses you and that this happiness I am feeling can be your happiness too.
I wish I could get to meet you and talk to you, or maybe on the internet… there are plenty of ways to do it. Hopefully, we can do that or maybe you could come to Colombia, which is a beautiful country like yours.
My mother and my grandma say hi and they send you a lot of kisses and hugs. They hope that God blesses you and that the New Year brings you the best.
