Ibagué December 2008
Dear godmother
Irene Schewere
Please receive and affective greeting from me and my family, whishing that you’re having a good time with your family and friends.First of all, I want to tell you that this year I approve the semester B, and I was able to continue studying thanks to the support that you have given to me.
Thanks to that huge support, each day I can continue developing my career to become a professional and it’s a really great experience because I had the opportunity to attend to several conferences and seminars related with my career, like Colombian literature, philosophy, and others. Also, I had the chance to know famous Colombian writers and others from abroad. We learned the value of writing and reading and I’m very happy with my career and I’d love to continue with it, in order to teach all that I learn to Colombian child in a future.Besides, I shared plenty activities with my teammates and we managed to organize the fair of the book in the University of Tolima, and we have to opportunity to acquire some important books for our career.
This semester was really hard and there were some difficult subjects but thanks to God I managed to overcome those difficulties because I didn’t want to disappoint you and the people who have believed in me. However, my grades weren’t as high as in the past semesters, but I promise you that the next year I’ll put all my enthusiasm and dedication in order to be one of the best students again.I feel really happy and thankful with you and your family and off course with the YMCA people, for giving me such an amazing support and confidence.
I want to thank you again and again for the help that you gave me this year and I promise that I will respond to your effort and I’ll try everyday to growth as a person. The city where I live is Ibagué, it’s a really beautiful place, and at this season of the year it’s full of lights and full of very nice people, however my city has been affected by the winter and there have been some awful consequences for some families in some parts of the city.
My family and me, want to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year, I hope God give you bless and a lot of gifts. I love you so much and you’ll always be in my heart, thanks for everything.
Best wishes,Hugs and kisses,
Yenny Yurley Penagos Vargas.
